The Founder

Jessica Kearney-Oshidar

Founder

Jessica, a lawyer by training brings together a background in psychology, communications, law, and more than 14 years of business operations experience. Her approach to negotiation is analytical, assertive, and grounded in a simple belief: conflict does not have to become confrontation.

Throughout her legal studies, Jessica explored family law, business law, and commercial transactions. Initially, she believed she would have to choose between them. Instead, she discovered that her strength was not confined to any one area of law. It was in the negotiation itself. Mediation and dispute resolution allowed her to bring those interests together.

Her extensive experience in the dental industry provided firsthand insight into business operations, ownership structures, professional partnerships, and the complexities that arise when business relationships evolve. Described by peers as a “legal architect,” Jessica looks beyond the immediate disagreement, identifies potential risks, asks the uncomfortable questions, and helps parties negotiate terms that make sense beyond the signing table.

Her mediation style is direct, structured, and intentional. Whether virtually or in person, Jessica establishes the framework and maintains control of the process. The setting may be informal, but the purpose is clear. This is not a courtroom, and the objective is not to determine who is right or wrong. It is to resolve the matter at hand.

For Jessica, neutrality is not passivity; both parties have a voice, decisions remain theirs, and she ensures the conversation moves with purpose. Her work is backed by advanced mediation training, while remaining distinct from providing individual legal advice.

Her commitment to divorce mediation is also personal. Having navigated her own divorce through mediation, Jessica understands that the way parties resolve their differences can matter long after an agreement is signed.

Harrison & Vale reflects her deliberate choice not to stand on one side of a dispute, but to work between the parties, where meaningful negotiations take place.

Her philosophy is simple: Control the process. Respect both parties. Resolve what matters. And whenever possible, stay out of the courtroom.
